Daphne Guinness channels Jean Seberg..

As anyone who keeps up with Daphne Guinness is aware, she has been working on a film about Jean Seberg for some time now. This is a collaboration with Joseph Lally, with whom Daphne has collaborated in the past, in The Black and White Maze of the Painted Zebra, released in 2010, here reviewed by INTERVIEW Magazine.
In SHOWstudio’s interview with Daphne, she mentions how she ‘channeled’ Jean in this film.. from communicating with Daphne while she was in the midst of working on this film, it was very obvious that this role had a profound effect on her. I think that a true artist cannot remain unchanged when involving on a very personal level with an artistic project. Joe Lally mentions that in some ways the film is also a record of the secret side of Daphne.

Daphne often says that everything is a work in progress, and that she cannot be objective about herself. It’s a mystery what happened to Jean, but this dream-like view of the world Jean was submersed in is a thought provoking and visual journey into the vision of Joe Lally, as channeled by Daphne.
